I know a lot of fans love Ramin and Sierra paired up as Christine and Erik (the phantom) but I’d say Gina Beck was his best Christine.
I mean Sierra’s voice is beautiful, there’s no denying that, but it doesn’t have the same sweet child-like innocence to it that Gina’s voice has, which contrasts with Ramin’s strong powerful voice, but in a good way. (similar to how Emmy’s sweet youthful innocent voice and Gerard’s deep gravelly voice perfectly contrasted with each others in the movie) I personally think it’s a really good artistic take, it helps emphasize how Christine is light and Erik (the phantom) is dark.

So good to see the original show at it's very best. What a shame that London has only half the orchestra now and a lot of scene changes that cheapen it. Thank god many of us saw it as it was. But in a way I'm glad a version of it still exists in London at its home. Thank you for this recording. So rich in sound. Fabulous. Xx

When I first played this video, I didn't realize the Phantom was Ramin. I skipped to All I Ask of You, and when I heard the Phantom's part, I thought, Wow, THIS Phantom is excellent! Then I read the comments and discovered it was Ramin 🤣. No wonder Webber chose him to originate Love Never Dies and to perform in the 25th anniversary

This exact production was my first experience of phantom. An experience I'm so thankful I've lived. Today watching your video I realized that I still remember all the actors one by one. How lucky I feel! ...and what to say about Ramin Karimloo. Are there any words? Thank you for uploading this!

I love the theater managers duo. I believe they’re the same actors as in 25th anniversary show. They are extra funny at the anniversary show

There’s a reason why before 25th catapulted him that Ramin was considered the best

I think this may be my favourite performance by Ramin. Like, jesus. The raw and violent anger, the screams, the violent physical impulses and then the restraint, that he will always display perfectly throughout his journey as Phantom but here, it's as if it's just less polished, like he's experimenting, living through it only, idk. he's always brilliant but here he really hits a nail through my heart. the gentleness, the way he reaches to cover his face when she kisses him at the end, it's just... what a gift to musical theatre, to theatre as a whole. what a truthful, raw performance where he truly became the character. even in low video and audio quality he made me hold my breath watching this. he's brilliant.

That was the most chilling mask reveal scene ever where she tears off his mask for the first time. I’ve never seen anything like it and I’m obsessed.

I had never heard of Gina Beck before, but I actually think I prefer her to Sierra. Sierra has a great voice, but I don't think it's a good match for Christine, who's supposed to be gentle, scared, and sweet. She sounds and acts too independent. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but for me the best cast is the one from the movie, and Gina sounds quite like Emmy Rossum, conveying all Christine's youthfulness, fear and insecurity.

I once saw the broadway Phantom of the Opera years ago and I laughed when Phantom wore a full cloak for Point of No Return, I was like did he just turn into a Sith or Jedi? and also the cemetery battle scene with Raoul, Phantom was on a statue shooting lasers everywhere I was like, is this Galaga or something? And when Christine passed out from the mannequin, the Phantom left her on the cold ground just tossing his cape over her. It was like him draping his cape over a corpse to cover it up from being seen. I was really disappointed. Its interesting to see the different actors takes on the Phantom character and Ramin has a more sensitive approach instead of macho seduction. To me tho, there needs to be a reason why Christine would actually love the Phantom as far as the plays since he is more grotesque and creature like. In the 2004 movie, his disfigurement is a more mild birth defect that looks like he had an allergy to shrimp while the rest of his face and body are quite in working order and incredibly robust and beautiful. In the movie, Phantoms overall masculine handsomeness balances out his disfigurement making it forgivable. theres much more reason for Christine to love him and why she chose to kiss him instead of just saying, "I choose you" when Phantom gave her an ultimatum
