'Days of grace are over...': Families protest ouside Netanyahu's home for release of hostages

Relatives and activists staged a protest outside Netanyahu's residence, accusing the government of inaction in securing the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza. The Hostage Families' Forum ended the "days of grace" and camped overnight, demanding Netanyahu address the issue. Ela Ben Ami, whose father is captive, expressed heightened concerns for hostages' lives. Ami called Netanyahu to take “a brave step to bring home those still alive, and the bodies [of those killed] to be buried in Israel, as they deserve.” She said, “It’s gone from pleading for their return to pleading to save their lives. This is a matter of life or death." Netanyahu unilaterally intensified government guidelines for a potential release, causing dissent in the war cabinet. The cabinet was divided on pursuing a truce or maintaining military pressure on Gaza. In a previous November deal, 105 hostages were released during a truce, but Netanyahu and Gallant opposed a similar approach.
