This show is the farthest thing from sad its just so dang wholesome. We see them both really falling for eachother and its honestly quite amazing. Ryuto is a great Mc in my opinion hes very direct in what he wants and isnt afraid to put his foot down when needed but at the same time supports Runa a lot and doesnt judge her for her past. They make a great pair honestly

ngl, there's not many good romance anime this season, but i must say these first 2 episodes were actually very enjoyable. more than i expected.
Ryuuto is a typical loser protag, but he's perfectly in line with the title and has not been unlikeable yet. all his insecurities come from his lack of experience, but that still hasn't misdirected his judgement until now.
Runa felt a little like a plot device in the first ep, but we are slowly getting one more piece of her puzzle with each interaction, and the ending of ep2 was really sweet.
worst case scenario, they might go for a safe ending, à la More than a married couple [...], but i'm really digging what i'm seeing so far. right now, i'm really curious to see the future of these two
