Thanks for the information. I shall purchase one of these. I have a linkMicro digital scope, and I too have a ring led above it, as the stalks that come with it are useless. One of my grips has always been the lack of lighting under the part. I hope to upgrade to the tri-scope one day soon.

Hi, Mike! This light is simply great, considering the fact it has adjustable light temperature. I paid attention to it when you were using it in your video about the newly purchased clock. A couple of month ago I realized that I couldn't properly inspect jewels for faults and cleanliness after rinsing and bought a $2 flat flashlight powered by 2 AAA batteries. Back then I didn't have a microscope and the light was far too intense for the eyes (even though it has two grades of intensity). I put it into a self-made plastic container with matte polished surfaces to reduce brightness. It made it suitable for using with a 10x watch loupe. Things got much better. And after I had purchased a microscope, the whole new macro-world of jewels and capillary effects turned into a stunning discovery, which fascinates me day by day. Rinsing the jewels has become much more efficient and effective, which yields better results in the amplitude etc. I am using the same flashlight for the microscope. There is only one disadvantage, namely flickering which is invisible to the naked eye but is registered by the microscope sensor when I am filming the process. The strobe effect is noticeable at some modes, not permanently. Having a backlight for watchmaking is vital. Thanks for sharing your experience! Another great video of yours gets n+1 likes😊

Mike, this is a very neat tool, and I purchased one. However I discovered that the back of the unit is magnetic. Need to be careful around mechanical watches...
