Trump’s tariff ‘liberation day’ to hit worldwide

President Trump is about to unveil his most sweeping tariffs yet - slapping duties on countries around the world, including those who were once thought of as America’s closest allies.

But the administration has been left reeling from an electoral loss in Wisconsin last night where a liberal judge convincingly beat a rival backed by Trump and Musk to a Supreme Court post.

Why should tech companies pay less tax while benefits are cut?

Higher tariffs make imported goods more expensive, and because of the price-performance ratio, domestic goods produced by companies in the country are more likely to be purchased. International companies will expand their production facilities abroad accordingly (which should be permitted) if their products are in demand there; companies will pay local taxes (for administration and roads) and wages or salaries that correspond to the living standards of that country, which affects the price of the products in that market – "it" is then locally adapted and good for maintaining or creating jobs at home. A major advantage, and one to consider, is that international transport decreases, which means lower costs and less environmental pollution – only raw materials should be exchanged internationally if this corresponds to Adam Smith's "wealth of nations"... but "to each his own."
