The reason I believe God exists is because of certain evidence that I have discovered.

The first piece of evidence is that "Life comes from life." We know that life comes from life, whether it's plant life, animal life, or human life.

The second piece of evidence is the law of causality, which states that every effect must have a cause. So considering that we have a living world, this living world must have a living cause.

So, because there can't be any change or beginning of existence withiut a cause, it's more probable to think "In the beginning, God" rather than "In the beginning, matter and energy".

So yeah, thats why i believe God is real

The problem with Christians believing in creation through evolution is that evolution requires quintillions of living things to die. But death entered the world through Adam and Eve's sin.

Iโ€™ve wondered if it were true that the creation story is not hyper literal and if macro evolution is true, how would we rationalize the exact point when people go from ape to image bearer?

I see that God uses Evolution after Creation/Global Flood.
I don't see why, or how, God would use Evolution during Creation... maybe even prior to the Flood.

Certainly not Macro Evolution.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth! He created everything in 6 days and on the 7th day he rested! And HE saw that it was GOOD!!! ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡

If micro evolution is true... then macro evolution is lots and lots of micro evolution... by definition....

so why do you need to add millions of years into the Bible

Macro evolution doesnโ€™t disprove Christianity, only young earth creationism, because young earth creationism posits a time frame within 6, 000 years for the entire planet, which wouldnโ€™t be enough time for evolution to work. We know, of course, that macro evolution does happen as it is the same thing as micro evolution, just on larger scales, using the same processes. Though, playing word games as if the laws that we humans make to govern ourselves are in any way analogous to the laws of the universe isnโ€™t accurate. The laws of physics and other laws of the universe arenโ€™t actual laws placed there. Theyโ€™re patterns weโ€™ve observed in the universe. In X scenario Y thing will act in Z way with no exceptions or allowances for alternate outcomes. As far as we can tell, those arenโ€™t rules placed on the universe, itโ€™s a function of how the universe itself works.

Donโ€™t worry about the past how we were created; Find out how to live in the present so that when Christ Jesus returns to set His kingdom, we may be worthy to be found in the eternal kingdom and not in this everlasting lake of fire

I know this is a spot of contention for American Christians but I've never really understood why evolution and creation are at odds. Most Christians are okay with the idea that Genesis doesn't happen over seven literal days, but when we look at the creation of life what we see is clearly a gradual process; on day three God creates simple life and plants, on day five complex life (starting from the sea) and on day six modern animals and man. And what is the process by which the Bible says this happens? God instructs them "be fruitful and multiply", "each after their own kind". Clearly reproduction and genetic components are there. This isn't some alternative theory to creation, evolution is there in Genesis, and clearly stated to be God-directed.

If Dr. Turek thinks "macroevolution" includes speciation, then it is an observed fact, and he should revise his opinion. If he doesn't include speciation in what he terms "macroevolution", then he should take a good hard look at all the evidence from the fossil record supporting "macroevolution" and at all the evidence that has come from the field of genetics in the past few years that also supports "macroevolution" above the level of speciation.

ะะฒั‚ะพั€

Except it's problematicly inconsistent to believe in only microevolution and not macroevolution. If you believe in microevolution then you accept you the exact same assumptions about microevolution. If you accept the species does evolve small parts in the periods of time we observe then it would have to evolve enough to be a completely different species over the spam of millions of years.

I'm happy for God to use evolution and time, He's still the one starting it and knows where its going. Doesn't take away from the Gospel at all.

I guess frank does not think lots of empirical evidence is good evidence? does he have any empirical evidence for his claims of his god? No. Should one believe something with 0 empirical evidence over something with tons of empirical evidence? What is the best type of evidence we have today?

the all powerful god, someone who is capable to do much better things, but unfortunately can only provide books/scriptures to convey his message, cmon, this narrative will work only to humans behaving as beggars.

and intensifying the fears and desires of humans make the humans behave a beggar, and then being a beggar, every stupidity, every nonsense, and even every evil of that entity, just gets bypassed.

So first make the humans be absorbed to their fears and desires, then selling to them your garbage god becomes good as a guaranteed sale.
