I've been using Ionic for quite a while now. I had to update from Ionic 2 to 3 and now from 3 to 4. It takes a big effort: huge refactors, study new ways, sometimes a new app...
Ionic 4 looks good but, how do we know is not going to be painful again for Ionic 5? What do you think about these changes between mayor versions? Do you think is worth it or maybe is better to leave these apps on that version?
