i got an immovable rod with the weight limit removed. my first thought was to place it in front of a train track, and watch trains gets torn in half as they run into it.

My party's fighter managed to sling a bead of force down a false hydras mouth. Dm didn't know about the breathable air rule and made it so one rooted area of the heads exploded, and then all the subsequent heads suffocated, eliminating a fair portion of the heads.

Boi you're not about to put on a jiraiya style headband equivalent, and convince me you weren't thinking of using this thing like a rasengan for at least a moment there

Per the description in the 2014 DMG: "Each creature within a 10-foot radius of where the bead landed must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 5d4 force damage. A sphere of transparent force then encloses the area for 1 minute. Any creature that failed the save and is completely within the area is trapped inside this sphere. Creatures that succeeded on the save, or are partially within the area, are pushed away from the center of the sphere until they are no longer inside it."

The item says that creatures are pushed outside of the sphere on a successful save, but it definitely reads more like them dodging out of the way, based on similarly explosive effects like _fireball_ imposing DEX saves to avoid their damage as well. It also says that the sphere is formed _after_ dealing damage, which tells me that it isn't expanding in size, but more exploding and rematerializing around those creatures.

World's most dangerous gumball, indeed, but not for the reasons you say.

When you mention the bead of force, and using it as the worlds deadliest gumball, and that you would flick it into the enemies mouth I can see all those cartoon scenes where the explosion that happens inside of the cartoon character

my brain: your about to fight the bbeg and you have a bead of force and a couple of gumballs you and your teammates and offer the bead which has been painted to look like one of the gumballs to the bbeg and say it's tradition for us to offer our enemy a gumball before fighting

They are pushed outside the sphere, not separated by the force. There are many d&d effects that detail this

Another fun subclass idea: the limnimancer. It has three main spells: conjure dream, conjure nightmare, and power word sleep. Power word sleep just puts the target in a magic-induced coma for one round of combat. Conjure nightmare summons a big skeletal dragon seeping black smoke that will deal psychic damage if the target comes into contact. Conjure dream summons whatever fucked up shit the target is into, putting them at disadvantage for saving and attack rolls.

A very similar fighting style is why Sue Storm is considered one of the deadliest superheroes.

First question I'll start asking my dm is always gonna be is there gumballs in this campaign if they answer yes just go carrying around beads of force if fighting a spellcaster pops one in my then go to the spellcaster pin there hands to a wall and force feed them the "gumball" they then cant cast spells and they have a grenade in them
