Proper night to remember for all our young supporters, that's what I remember Liverpool FC sounding and looking like when I was a lad UTFR 🔥 97+🔥

Think we played a large part in their legs going, through how much energy they had to use to stay with us in that first half. It wasn’t as eye-catching, as a half, but we were so drilled & smart. It felt deliberate. You want to man-mark us? Come on then… you run! Let’s see how that works out on 60 mins, as we go up a gear & then bring on a load of total engines in subs!!

Huge difference this year seems to be Konate not having to cover the space left by Trent going forward. Macca looks like he needs a good rest, these international breaks seem to destroy him. Diaz seems to do really well when he doesn’t have to think! Similar to Nunez.

Love you Rob.

11:01 good point. Sometimes Luccho can hold the ball for too long when he has a lot of time and space ahead. To see him be so ruthless with less time to think is a revelation. Hope to see more of this.

The no-look was Diaz's third goal (and our fourth).

The big surprise for me this season has been the transformation of Diaz, Konate, and even Nunez. They all look like completely different players. Much more dominant and consistent. LFC didn't do anything in the transfer market, but the change in those three players it's almost like they did bring in new talent.

The win is massive, because it gives us a chance to rotate in the next few European games. I hate Madrid as much as the next Livepool fan, but with the biggest game of the season vs Man City on the weekend after, that has to be a game where we rotate to some extent

If Rob got the trophy he’d probably smash it to bits and call it modern art

I think Trent is drawing a fine line, he looks like he thinks he's better than he is. He's giving away in possession is so bad at the moment but he doesn't seem to care about it.

That first Diaz goal was beautiful❤. Still finding it odd having a borefest for 45 mins though. Slot owes the crowd who were very influential the last 2 games.

Jesus lads Liverpool could have won the treble in the time it took this to start - chuck a time code in the intro at least?

Need nunez, jota, sobo, macca to come a lil bit on form/ energy levels .. if these four players get in their groove we will be back proper

My fear is that teams will go for the kill in the 1st half, where it becomes a tall order to turn in the 2nd half.

Thought liverpool were excellent out of possession first half, are shape and pressing was v gud. It was an arm wrestle in the first half but more and more the game went on in first part of second half before we scored u cud see leverkusen were settling for a point and were a little bit negative. Dont see a world now were those 3 players up top dont start in the really big games, diaz was great up the middle.
