Instructions
Rinse the beets under cold water, and trim off the greens and root ends.
Option A: Boiling
1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.
2. Place the beets in the boiling water, ensuring they’re fully covered.
3. Boil for 30-45 minutes, depending on their size, until a fork easily pierces through them.
4. Remove the beets from the water and let them cool slightly. Rub the skins off with your fingers or use a paper towel to peel them.
Option B: Roasting
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Individually wrap each beet in aluminum foil, sealing them tightly.
3. Place the wrapped beets on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 45-60 minutes, depending on their size, until a fork easily pierces through them.
4. Remove the beets from the oven and let them cool slightly. Unwrap the foil, and rub the skins off with your fingers or use a paper towel to peel them.
Slice or dice the beets for your dish, or store them in the fridge for later use.
