I am in my early 30s and I travel mostly solo. Sometimes people on board "pity" me as if I were lonely or had no friends, and some crew members were zealous to introduce me to other travelers.

No, I travel solo because I enjoy the flexibility and peace and quiet. If I really wanted a company, I would have grabbed my friends along and paid lower price instead of 1.2x to 2x singles supplement.

I'm a loyal NCL cruiser, I have travelled both solo & with friends. The studios are pretty cool, I love the hallways neon lights, studio area looks cool.

I'm experienced solo traveller, doesn't matter which type of vaccation. When cruising, I'm loyal to NCL. There are all year round promo offers up to 50% off guest price. On larger ships there are solo studios (inside) - restricted access only for solos and an exclusive solo lounge with great value. Meantime NCL offers solo cabins (all originally designed for at least two guests) in each category and within promo you get great value. Also with promo you get off 50$ at excursions and even latitudes discount is applied.

I want to be treated fairly. If I book a regular cabin I will pay the supplement with no regrets. However, I will NOT give NCL the cost of a larger cabin for an inside studio cabin. Tip: Always compare 50% of the total for two in a regular cabin to what the studio costs. More than 20% for the added benefits is a deal breaker for me, I'll take the larger cabin every time.

NCL does have, by far the most solo cabins available, by a wide margin. Problem is, I just tried booking a cruise with them 13 months out, and the price was over $2 500. That is insane! Solo cruisers should boycott cuise lines, as they discrimnate, MIGHTILY, against single people, which is despicable!

I’ve done solo cruises from casino comps but would never pay 100% supplement or more from Celebrity. That’s insane.

I used to be Royal Loyal with Celebrity being my preference as a solo cruiser. With the RCL policy shifts I will be looking to spend my money where I get the best value. Unfortunately, it probably won't be with RCL😢

Norwegian is a great line and they have a great solo rate. Princess is my go to as I am elite and enjoy their added benefits. I also watch Vacations to go for single supplement sales.
