Way too relatable tbh. Granted, I still do give out trust way too easily to people within my circles. But it's gradually gotten more worn out over time and blunt, but when I was younger I would study everything I said and make sure it wouldn't hurt others first. But eventually after so much happening, I've realized that there needs to be a balance =/
What's the point in putting yourself out there for people who do not do the same for you? Simple, don't give them your time.

Still, I do miss the days of ignorant bliss when I didn't have to worry about everything going south at any minute =/

No one is ever really ready for adulthood. But I am sure you will get on with it Kalin, it is all okay to learn to be yourself again, every version of a person is the best and the worst version at the same time. You are as good as being you, you are the best version and the worst version for yourself right now! Don't think much about what you have lost just think about what you can gain now.

Being an official Adult is hard but we can't do anything to change that. With the word's from different POVs I can understand both side's meaning you should balance between the both because leaning towards one of them too much is gonna hurt you
