Well your info is very inaccurate unfortunately. I worked for the Colorado Historical Society. The story about the man/violinist was mostly wrong.
The man was the brother of the superintendent of the mine. The mine was NOT above Silver Plume. It was located up the canyon at what is now Saint Mary's Glacier turnoff on I70 (nothing left of that town now. It was on the south side of Clear Creek. Being up the canyon yes his music flowed down to the town. He committed suicide from depression.
