Police protect the State and not the taxpayers who pay their salaries... (Castle Rock vs Gonzales 545 U.S. 748 (2005)
To make matters worse there is NO National REGISTRY of fired police officers who likely will be hired by other police departments!
America needs a National transparent registry of fired, quit, and transferred police officers!

She knew what she was doing, why is ANYONE surprised? Spending 600k on a report was her way of saying, "DON'T EVER ASK ME TO PROSECUTE POLICE"

We're disposable, we're nothing to them... Always remember that.

Perhaps there was no case because the state troopers refused to cooperate? I imagine that any attempt to prosecute any case would fail if law enforcement decided not to actually, you know, enforce laws.

The boys in blue not cooperating to prosecute a fellow thug? How shocking.

Big Blueline locked ranks and did not cooperate with the investigation.

Any citizens who did not comply with the legal process of a prosecutor would be charged with obstruction, unless they plead the 5th.

So, the troopers and trainers took the 5th?

609.50 OBSTRUCTING LEGAL PROCESS, ARREST, OR FIREFIGHTING.
Subdivision 1.Crime. Whoever intentionally does any of the following may be sentenced as provided in subdivision 2:
(1) obstructs, hinders, or prevents the lawful execution of any legal process, civil or criminal, or apprehension of another on a charge or conviction of a criminal offense;

Rules for citizens, but not the Big Blueline?

Two tier Justice system.

This proves that all law enforcement are either incompetent or corrupt.

"Special prosecutor" Need to investigate this entire process also.
They have a conflict of interest in prosecution/delay of the case. Much less in actual conviction. It's a money scam people.

I think Mary should have to pay some of this cost instead of making Tax Payer foot the bill.

They stopped prosecution of a murderer, because it was expensive, and the employee's organization wasn't cooperating?

Sounds like incompetence to me.

How could police not cooperating with what amounts to their employer, not be a firing offense?

Why is she dotting every i and crossing every t? She probably doesn't want her name dragged through the mud the next time this cop makes headlines for all the wrong reasons.
