Maybe because Data Science is not well defined whereas BI is; it's hard work based on company data. Companies have thought, markets can be forecast if they hire the right forecaster; not if they build a basis for forecasting. The right forecaster would already have the right data on his laptop and read the right FT articles to say what the price of eggs was going to be in three months. Or he would not be the right guy. They are catching on. Thus the salaries mentioned in previous videos.

I’m curious. What do you mean by “kind of prediction” when you said you ask companies the kind of predictions they want the machine learning algorithm to make.

Is the question being asked to know if it’s a Regression or Classification problem? Or something else entirely.
