Remarkable 2 vs Supernote A5x

Показать описание
Supernote A5x or Remarkable 2 - which one should you buy?
Simple answer remarkable if you are interested in drawing, or calligraphy, or if you think graphically, with flow charts diagrams etc.
Supernote if you like words, if you are a prolific notemaker, if you think in prose, and want some extra word processing, search or table of contents based features, if you need more features like email or the kindle app.

Remarkable just aims to replace paper. Nothing else, it can do a few more clever things, like handwriting recognition, and screen share. And it can be a great start to a piece of digital art. As you can take the vector information from any drawing that you do on it. And drawing is especially good on this device. The pen / brush tools are excellent. And the pressure sensitivity and the tilt function make it a device worth buying for artists.
Supernote aims to give you a little more. The standout feature is probably the notebook organisation. You see you can build out tables of contents with the supernote. And make searchable key words as you go. This doesn't just replace a notebook it improves upon it. It makes it a digital notebook. Also, supernote are committed to giving you more of what you want, you want to read and edit word docs, ok you can. You want to read with a kindle app, ok you can. You want to read and send emails, yep that too. And I hear a calendar coming soon.
Remarkable feels like pencil and paper. Supernote feels like pen and paper.
For all eink devices, it's about the non luminous screen, which is better for your eyes to look at all day and the distraction free note making experience. It's about the natural connection that you have between you brain and the pen and paper. And both of these devices do that well.
So for me that's where the choice lies. Are you a sketcher of ideas, or a penner of ideas? That's where the choice lies.
These are both excellent choices!
