What The Best Quality Micro Camera For Analog FPV In October 2022? - FPV Questions

I know the camera is a year old, but the baby ratel 2 is still my go-to camera for my drones. The starlight capability of this camera is quite literally unbelievable. under nothing but the light of a full moon and a street light off in the distance, this thing can see the colors of my trees and lawn. The ultra light weight of them helps my Diatone GTR 3" clock in at over 100 miles per hour as well. I have a couple of these mounted to some 1/32 scale rock bouncers (the Orlandoo Hunter OH32X01 and the Doorok Rock Racer from Tiny4x4. The camera's compact size helps them fit anywhere and the starlight sensors mean that I won't get lost in dark places. My students and I drive them all over the school, through classrooms and offices, and we have the video feed up on the big screen in the classroom. They are a huge hit with everyone, an unusually welcome distraction, met with big smiles and waves, and of course everyone wants to stand there and have you to drive between their feet.

I prefer the ratel 2 over the RC Pheonix as well. The image seems to be much more natural, but that might just be something that can be tweaked in cam settings.

Hi Josh Great video, I happen to love the Caddx Ratel starlight cameras, I have it in every quad I own except for two, RunCam Phoenix and a Foxeer cat3 is it. The Phoenix is a great camera and Cat3 is a great night camera, but I prefer the Ratel starlight the best for color and night flying.

Apart from my tinyhawk, I have a (Baby) Ratel in every one of my analog quads, HDzero micro v2 or nano in my HDs. Love the image from both of those and will stick with them!

It is the foxeer trex that has low latency around 5ms. The runcam phoenix is around 21 ms. Just saying.

I would say Foxeer Trex or Predator v5.

Can some show, , how much resolution in the googles is needed to fully take advantage of for examble 600tv lines 800 tv lines 1000tv lines 1200tv lines and 1500 tv lines ??

The phoenix 2 and caddy ratel are pretty good my favorite is the foxeer predator 5 though

Hmm own ratel and ph2 and by far Phoenix 2 is better but i can say vtx makes a difference. Also phoenix 2 seems to have better low light performance, can fly around at dust street lights on and can see very well, take off goggles its dark, my ratel you quit 30 min earlier. About when streetlight comes on. Of course using jb edition

Is there any possibility to connect that camera to Pixhawk 2.4.8 and Holybro Mini OSD?? If no, what would you suggest for Pixhawk to have a decent vision?

Ratel 2 best all around then the cleanest is Foxeer T. rex

I like very much the betafpv canopy for micro cams 2022 but it has a 11 mm holder without screw holes and is not 14 mm standard. Is there any alternative to the betafpv cam ?

nothing shocking, Ratel 2 is my favorite, even over the most expensive Foxeers

I have ratel2 and phoenix2.. Ratel2 is nicer, better color
My roma4 didn't come with camera, no cam is an option
