That concentration thing you spent so many points in is really useful. You should try it sometimes. Also, there's already a base on this island, with a bunch of stations and a bed. Copper island has one clay "mine" and the ant mounds also have clay. You could upgrade your tanner workbench into an improved tanner workbench. Upgrading stations works for almost all of them. I recommend Learning 5, and then concentration. You are missing a lot by not using it. Leather armor is repaired with leather. Leather is cheap. Don't be cheap and use the armor. What was hard was upgrading the station to make it, and now that you have the station you just need to hunt boars or jackals whenever you need more leather.

Someone made this comment already (Marrighan), but I'll add to it. UPGRADE YOUR BENCHES. Don't just make new ones. First, you'll use more materials than you need to because upgrading only requires the difference in materials. For example, if the base item costs 10 wood to make and the upgraded one takes 15 wood and one copper to make, then upgrading would only require 5 wood and 1 copper instead of 15 wood and 1 copper. This isn't the biggest benefit though. The upgraded benches have higher efficiency! That means less time to do the same amount of work on the upgraded benches. You'll be able to get more done in a day and this means less food/water/energy for the work you need to do.

So UPGRADE! :)

you can upgrade your workbenches cheaper then building a whole new one. Clay can be found in the termite mounds on copper island, you will need a shovel for it

Later on you need animal corpses for saltpeter, it's why the corpses stick around after you've skinned them.. I'm a big fan of the hide tipi, for traveling base.

i highly recommend you go kil a bufalo in copper island and craft the horn bow. it's great for the larger animals. crossbow is good, but more a primative sniping weapon

Kage, in the area where you hunted the boar you can get yellow-red flowers very good as fishing bait. Also you can get clay with the shovel in the ants nests.

Travel during the night on Copper Island and take your temp shelter top with you during the day.

I would highly suggest you getting "Better Sleep" perks. Even if just the first one.
Also i forget if you did or not, but if not, then read the sailing book, preferably before you do much sailing/fast travel. Also there is flowers you can use as bait for fishing.. I forget name, but the plants has wide leafs.


Oh and consider getting Coffee from copper island and dry them.. Will help you a ton.

Hide cloths stats, +25% rain +25% sun protection -2% wound chance, -2% decreased poisoning chance, I spam V all the time, find kitty Crouch or control key sneak and poke arrows into kitty, then axe it, sneak is from a tablet. Also upgrade your bed to at least a sleeping bag, better rest, game has upgrade mechanics, sharp stick sharp stick with a stone, so on, same for clothes, bed, building, boat, weapons

workshop needs a storage Loft full of chests to hold everything you need.
onlychests for food should remain in the house.

When you get linen collect of it as much as possible linen clothes are OP and I don't wan to spoil but you'll find books in the future they unlock a bunch of good extras

Kage dont build new workbenchj - just upgrade the old one - you forgot that you can do that again
You dont use concentration that much as you prabobly should but its not that nececery on the other hand you sholdve have some potions allready and making them require alcohol - i myself only used them for boss fights (fron second to last one) without making any - so if you did not max lerning you can even go that way
