I got a Moto G7 Power yesterday for Christmas, and you gotta love the battery! The notch is no big deal to me, and the reason why I upgraded from the LG K30, is because I've had it for about 2 years or so. Glad I switched to the Moto G7 Power, because its battery lasts longer.

I have the regular G7. Great phone so far. Hard to beat for the price I paid--$120.

The prices of these phones have come down very significantly. I was looking at the g7 power which ticks all my boxes at £150, however I can get my hands on the g7 plus for £150 so I think it is a no brained for me. My g5 plus has served me very well but is very tired and slows to a crawl when using Google maps.

What's the maximum screen on time for the Moto G7 Plus phone? I heard so many complaints about the battery life but the rest of the hardware and software seem to be alright. Any updates arrived to improve the battery life and camera??? Or any updates at all? If you were to recommend an alternative what would it be? (I'm also from the UK)

Nice review. The consensus is that these are well-made and good value phones. It seems odd, though, that the best battery isn't in the 'flagship'. Personally, I'd be reluctant to shell out more cash to buy a phone with a battery that's inferior to a cheaper phone in the same range. What am I missing?

I know the plus is not sold in US but does it work well with the ATT?

Ordered a G7 yesterday after breaking my old chinese phone rather badly.

Main thing for me was GPS as my phone sucked for it, looked at the big Chinese brands and they still have useless GPS apart from a handful of flagship phones with the new duel band chips in but I just wanted something that would connect to the American, Russian, Chinese and European gps systems instead of just "seeing" them and the G7 ticked that box. (G7 power does not and also has lower dpi and only 1570x720 display compared to 2270x1080).

It has NFC and also seems to have a dedicated card slot, not the normal duel sim but one spot can be used for card or sim system.

And it has an electronic compass (magnetometer). power version dosnt seem to have one but it might be missing in specs. In my research they forgot to add it to the G7 page but confirmed it had one in forums and updated the web page for it so Im assuming the G7 power does not or they would have updated that as well but maybe not.

Also has two cameras on back, one is for depth. The power version just has a single 12mp camera with a different aperture.

Thought I would save some people some research time by posting this here. the G7 is worth the extra ££

Note the American version of the G7 and G7 power do not have NFC or duel sim.

I personally don't like notches on phones, but was going to go ahead and maybe get the G7. But now I'm gonna go with to go with the new Pixel 3a
