Faster Hands & Feet (in 10 days)

In this lesson, I show you how I developed my single stroke roll speed. I know I am not the fastest, nor do I have aspirations to be the fastest. For me, I just like to have the technical facility just in case a musical situation presents itself where I need it. So I occasionally will work on developing more speed and control. Enjoy!

Very good lesson. I have been a drummer all my life and I am now 68. I have taken a five year lay off and am now working on getting back into playing again. I have some friends who are old like me and we just want to rehearse some straight ahead jazz together and I am now practicing to get back in shape. This single stroke lesson, on a towel on my bed mattress is getting me back in shape quickly! Great lesson for getting your fast single strokes in shape. Thanks.

As always, Drumeo instructors are here to help us. I joined Drumeo a couple of years ago and it has been a great experience. Would recommend becoming an Edge member if you are just not getting better or not sure how too. Great community of beginner, intermediate and advanced players both men and women. Lessons and archives for almost anything you are working on. Thanks Jared, Dave, Mike and all the instructors at Drumeo.

Partially reminds me of James "The Rev" Owen Sullivan's (Avenged Sevenfold drummer who passed away) drum fills and solos. Enjoyed this video :)

This is very awesome, I love the way that you could spread the single stroke on the drum kit

The fact that I'm making this comment 6 years after this video was posted haha.

I really like how they start with a demonstration of what the single stroke can get you doing! Really helps with motivating me into learning it all the more.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!  This and paradiddle-diddles have got me blazing around the kit!   I've often thought about using 4 - 32nd notes like this but never put it together.like you have.

I’ve got the short bursts but going in a constant 32nd note speed like that, is a bit harder but this is a big help, thanks drumeo!

...As always jarred excellent video! I started watching drumeo hearing of it from a fellow regina drummer I am sure you heard of Chris Dimas (very good young drummer ) and always find it awesome.i have always played self taught by ear yet the teachings help all of us.i especially liked the One easy beat that sounds hard video.when you break it down it IS such a cool simple beat...keep em coming:)

Curious... I do this excersise by myself, not the same but very similar along time ago. Just playing around the drumset meanwhile I'm warming up before play
