It's great to see you guys haven't become brand snobs now that you're channel is doing well. So many YouTubers either due to sponsorships or fear of being mocked that they trash Kings stuff. I for one use many of their products and they're still going strong. Having said that, they did have previous products that were dodgy. But their quality is improving at every version.

I was also going to say Raptor coat might help but also a stone guard tamer on your 4wd

I haven't commented for a couple of years. Why? Because as I said the last time .... this is the best channel on YouTube. Brilliant! Love every episode. Congratulations guys! Enjoy your adventures.

Love the video as always!
We recently added a solar panel to our van 6 weeks into our lap, a semi-flexible panel which we siliconed on. No silicone gun, no ladder, and flies biting at our legs- silicone is nobody's friend at the best of times Jack! It looks atrocious (our job, not yours), but gets the job done.
Seems like we might have been at Sandy Cape potentially at a similar time, although we were in the 2wd sites. Great spot!

Edit to add- we added the solar because we also are also running starlink through a 200ah lithium battery (as well as our fridge and usb's) and the starlink was draining the battery pretty quickly. We've now added a 240w solar blanket, and found with the blanket and 190w on the roof (plus 40amp dcdc) we can keep the battery charged up pretty easily during the day. If we were to run the starlink overnight though it would take a significant chunk out of the battery.

Best thing with old vans is the outside towel rail. Love Myrtle. Safe travels.

I'm old enough to remember these vans new. No idea what they were called, but they had a cover for the front that clipped on just like the annex sides did. The doors not closing was always a problem from new. Enjoy

Try installing a strong fly screen type mesh in front of the van to stop the stone chips. It will require replacing every now and again, but you won’t get any stones flying back and hitting the rear of the car.

Great to see you guys back on the road. Enjoy having the freedom of not needing to be anywhere and the ability to change your mind at the drop of your hat.
Throw a pack of zooper doopers in your freezer. So good when you pull up to a beach or somewhere hot to grab one out as a frozen treat. And it doesn't matter if they melt/refreeze etc.

American campers have diamond plate on the lower front of their campers for stone chips. I know my camper needs some water damage repair, so I know all about upkeep. Thanks for your video!

Raptor coat paint works for the front. You just spray it on.

Hi guys, the dark shade sail type material (stone stomper) or large mudflap (rock tamers) both work well, and combined would be probably a bit of overkill. Retro style would be a 2-tone 1970's quilted tarp style that clips on with press studs. Also, that chromed shower rail stuff is useless. We ended up buying 2 lengths of stainless pipe from Bunnings. They met inside the middle hanger and it looked like a solid piece of tube.

I have seen a checker plate design rubber matting (from Bunnings) glued to the front. I personally have not done it so cannot say how effective it is. Great to see you back on the road again

Hang (tie) a towel over the vacuum so that the soft towel runs on the wall and not the hard handle etc.

Back on the road again. Interested to see how the kings gear goes as that is in my budget. Cheers.

I live and travel in a 1969 Viscount so love seeing another vintage van out and about. I had a giggle at the Christmas tree under the bed as I've got a Christmas tree under my bed too! 😂

Stone Stomper. No more issues. Have used on last 2 vans

You could make a stone guard frame which clamps onto draw bar to protect the front . Saves having to checkerplate the body.
