My god this footage is amazing! would’ve loved to see this in “Anthology” or something.

John says "you'll see this footage in 1983 at this rate" - and how incredible that the world at large saw this footage for the very first time in the 'Compleat Beatles' doc narrated by Malcolm McDowell in 1982!!! Crazy!!

This is great footage and audio. I love hearing and watching how The Beatles rehearse and record .

This is the closest I get to getting a time machine and living life in the 60s

Still awesome to see this footage from 2/26 + 27. Hope it gets restored in an Anthology remaster. Easily can go in the section for A Hard Day's Night, but they play an outtake, aince that's what they're rehearsing

Murray the K, by endlessly spinning their songs in his studio, was a big part in their busting into the states.
Back then it was the DJ's that made or break new hit sounds.
If he wasn't an opportunist in that business, he wouldn't have a job.

I didn’t know Ringo played the Piano.

I like the footage. I wish there was a lot more. But I don’t like Murray the K. Who kept self promoting himself as the Fifth Beatle. What a disgusting opportunist!

He knew the Beatles were a new phenomenon and he desperately tried to glom onto their Fame and new found Fortune.

A 40 year old guy trying to be a Hipster. Pathetic, baby!

He was a New York Disc Jockey and now he’s completely forgotten.
But the Beatles are Forever!
Baby!
Get Back! Baby!
That’s what’s happening, Baby!

I'd know Murray The K's voice anywhere. His live shows at The Brooklym Fox were incredible!

It’s the Gear, Baby! No Murray.
It’s Gear! Baby! He didn’t get it or understand Lennon’s Slang.

MK tried so hard to be a Hipster but he was Lame!

What a Self Promoter M the K the DJ was! Unfortunately, pushy people like him are the ones that get somewhere in life.

I know now from being a nice guy most of my life that being timid and nice gets you nowhere.

Only people who are forceful or pushy get anywhere and know how to make contacts and connections. They used to call it networking. Now they call it making and selling your Brand.

See how he suggests doing a reading to Lennon the next day and Lennon says okay, do it! He created a role or a job for himself where there was nothing. That’s how you do it.

It not what you know as much as who you know and what they can approve or do for you.

If you know a filmmaker you ask them if they need background actors. If they say yes, you’re in a movie! If no, then nothing ventured, nothing gained. No loss.

You have to make things happen. These days you make your own road or create your own jobs.
You don’t wait for others.

For example, if you want to host a show. You get a Webcam or Cellphone and record yourself interviewing someone and you post it to YouTube. If people like it, they start to follow you and you make money or a living. If they don’t like it then nothing. But you started with nothing so it’s no loss.

For example, you say: do you need me to sing some back up vocals or play the tambourine or do handclaps? If they say yes and approve the idea, suddenly you’re on a Beatles record!

If they say no, then you have nothing but you came in with nothing so it’s the same.
No loss!

Another way of saying this is Fortune follows the Brave. The Timid get nowhere. You’ve got to be Bold or forget it!

M the K Disc Jockey was very aggressive and obnoxious and those are the people who make it in the World.
The nice people get nowhere. Because they are like sheep following everyone. You want to be like the Shepherd. Not the Sheep.
In Charge of your own Destiny.

What’s the deal? The audio didn’t have anything to do with a hard day’s night recording sessions. It was just noise. There were no songs from a hard day’s night. 🫤
