This advert was controversial in Japan in particular. In their culture, tools to create are something that should be respected (I'm probably generalising here as I'm Scottish, the furthest you can get from Japanese. Someone who is Japanese could explain it far better than I can). Especially since I'm a musician where I have many instruments, guitar pedals, whathaveyou, this ad does rub me the wrong way.

I'm also sure that it would have upset some people (including myself) seeing that lovely arcade cabinet being crushed.

It's nice to see that society is still capable of holding these big companies accountable for trying to turn us into NPCs! Today it's just an iPad Advert, who knows what it'll be tomorrow!
