Most RIDICULOUS Thing Ever Done By Countries #shorts

First up, in the 1970s, Saudi Arabia seriously considered towing giant icebergs from Antarctica
to provide fresh drinking water. Yes, an iceberg highway! And it didn’t happen.
Next, Alaska built a bridge worth $400 million to connect to an island with only 50 residents. The
Gravina Island Bridge, commonly referred to as the Bridge to Nowhere. Never finished.
Then there’s North Korea, which built an entire fake city near the South Korean border that is
called Kijong-dong and it's essentially a propaganda village designed to showcase a prosperous
image of North Korea to South Koreans, with bright lights and large buildings despite being
completely uninhabited
In the Philippines, a giant chicken statue was built in the middle of a town. No one really knows
why, but it's now a landmark!

It wasn’t Saudi that wanted to do that, it was the UAE. And it wasn’t for fresh water but to change the climate of the region. Search it

The dumbest thing to ever happen was everyone going to war because an Arch duke got shot.

The bridge in Alaska was to connect the town to the only airport. It is currently only connected via ferry. When there is an emergency and someone needed to be medevac’d. A ferry had to be used. If it was the middle of the night, the ferry operator had to be called in. This could take hours, delaying emergency transport for the patients. Some even died because if this.

Saudi arabia: we bring ice to make water!
Alaska: We connect our people with eachother! even if it’s just 50 people…
North korea: we show propaganda of great country!
And phillipines… what have you got????
Philippines: …
Chicken.

The list is MOST ridiculous things countries have done.
- Saudi Arabia didn't do it.
- A bridge for 50 people is not the most ridiculous thing the USA has done.
- Of all the things NK has done, building a fake city is, sadly, not the most ridiculous. The former leader kidnapping people in the South Korean movie industry to personally make him movies. THAT is ridiculous.
- Philippines: eh.

The bridge to Gravina Island Alaska .. very small population but that is where the International Airport is. You have to take a ferry and sometimes the weather sucks.

Towing icebergs to Saudi Arabia wasn't a stupid idea, but probably not economically feasible.

The Gravina Island bridge one is misleading. It wasn't for the 50 residents on the island, but for the international airport across the strait from the largest city of the borough which has a combined population of nearly 14, 000. The only way across is a ferry service.

There are two kinds of countries:
• Planning on using icebergs so your population has clean drinking water

• *_BEEG CHIMKEN_*
