So quick question to find H.A. when top and botom have same degree its the ratio or you do limit approaches infiniti? im confused because if you do the first way the horizontal will be 1

The thing that troubles me is horizontal asymptotes. What's it for anyways? Sometimes a graph can go through a horizontal asymptote and sometimes it can't. What's up with that?
