This is probably one of your best videos!
One comment though, the D7000 is not an Entry-Level DSLR!

Another great tutorial, Serge. One other thing to point out that I didn't hear mentioned in the video is the recommended maximum exposure time when shooting the milky way (or starscapes in general). Because of the rotation of the earth, it's best not to expose for longer than 30 seconds, otherwise you'll end up with very noticeable star trails. Also for beginners, keep in mind it's best to use a remote shutter release or use your 2-second timer to avoid tiny vibrations that will blur your stars.

Hi Serge. Great tutorial thank you. One of my tips is for using 60p for video.  To get 60p you need to change the TV setting. Go to PAL/NTSC selector settings (toolbox icon no2) here you change to NTSC. Select ENTER. The camera reboots and then if you check the record settings (camera icon no2) you will have the 60p options.

Can you teach us how to shoot and edit moon lit environments? Such as the full moon lighting up a scene and what not? Shooting for long exposure in those scenes, etc.

It's like always not about how to shoot it, it's only about retouching. Please make more vids about how to take photos like this!

Hi serge. Thanks for all the tutorials. In this last one, i'll desagree with two things. The color temperature used and the noise redution color, this two thing will kill the real color of the stars. For many skyphotographers this is important. anyway, thanks for your time and all the tutorials :)

Serge - Great video! Ive been following you since episode #5.  My photography has progressed so much because of you.  I was wondering if you would do a tutorial on how to shoot star trails.  Ive seen very impressive photographs with an interesting foreground subject and a pinwheel like effect from star trails.  Thanks!

One thing to add, to give the milky way a bit more drama try adding an unsharp mask with a high radius (60 or more), and only mask in over the center of the milky way.  It adds to the drama without adding noise to the image as a whole.

Stellarium is a program you can use to track the milkyway and moon anywhere in the world.

For a lens I would recommend a Samyang 14mm f/2.8 on a FF body.
