And don't forget those <german handpruners, called Lion/Löwe.. 😂😉💥 In Germany we have so many areas where vineyards have been abandoned because it is just to expensive to harvest the grapes there, and they came up with a program to plant a peach variety in those abandoned vineyards called p r u n u s p e r s i c a from which you can make all kinds of products, e.g. a delicious liqueur.

I've seen a technique where you tie weights at the ends of branches and the tree forms an umbrella shape, production was enormous

I live in Florida I just picked all my peaches off the tree so from what I hear is good to prune them now And thin out The limbs in the center I hope that’s right appreciate your help

Great job. I prune my citrus trees in a similar fashion and I have had higher yields and healthier looking trees.

Thank you Pete! I have a peach tree but not sure what kind. It was supposed to be an all in one almond and is still tagged from the nursery. Bought several bare root almonds and one is a peach 3 years later. Lol

can you "over prune"? I'm in Kansas and have Red Haven peaches. Moved them last spring and this year they took off! Nearly 20' tall and supposed to be mid-size. If I prune them heavily now, is it ok? How much is too much to take off? Thanks for all your helpful videos! I always learn something new!

I'm sure you know this trick. After the peach tree blooms, the peaches that come on the branches can be too many for the branch. Causing the branches to sag and or break (this is heartbreaking to see.) And also the fruit can be smaller. So before this happens, reduce the amount of peaches on each branch making larger fruit. I would skip every other peach so as to not have them in clusters. I've had much success with this technique.
