Only sad thing about this anime is it's too short, but it also has a satisfying ending. I agree with the other comments, it's underrated and deserves more attention, I highly recommend this anime.

I am not familiar with the original source, in fact this is the first time I've heard about it. What intrigued me was that this is a modern remake of an old series from the 60s by a legendary mangaka. I thought Boogiepop and Promised Neverland were going to be the highlights of the season, but man!!! Episode 1, blew my expectations out of this world. It looks good, has an interesting premise, good music, great voices and lovable characters along with a darker atmosphere most anime's nowadays tend to not have. Its a fresh new series away from the old happy go lucky isekai type of genres we see everywhere now days. I am so happy to have discovered this series, cannot wait for next week. I haven't felt this way over a new anime in a very long time now. I seriously doubt any other series this season will blow me away like this one did, perhaps for the rest of the year lol😂😂😂😂

Absolutely amazing anime with a fantastic, deeply philosophical story and superb animation! MAPPA does it again!

People should stop calling it "underrated" because I rate it very highly!
