Considering how much of a train wreck humanity is, I’d be shocked if the planet survived the next 1 million years. Because considering how earth is looking right now, humanity will reach extinction way before the sun even makes it to 6 billion years old.

To be perfectly honest after seeing what humanity has done to this world. I kind of personally hope that if humans do live to see the sun become a red giant, it will be the last thing they ever see. Earth’s existence is already threatened by us and for the sake of the rest of the universe, I don’t want to see them colonizing other planets.

I think that if we're still alive, we probably have evolved into some other species, hopefully more intelligent than we are, and that we will witness it both from Earth and from another planet. Some people will be on another planet, while some will stay on Earth and live their lives here. The people that could not afford to get a ride to another planet will likely die on Earth when it happens.

i think we and other civilations from different places in space will watch it happen. i also feel like aninals like cats and dogs will have already evolved into human-like creatures and moved on too, and i think other planets in our solar system will change a lot too. i wonder if any of those planets will become habitable within time? oh and i have a lot more wonderings. im actually scared of being engulfed by the sun someday, but luckily my human lifespan is not that long (unless we become immortal) ×°×
