PSA to everyone. the madness dudes with the big yellow heads can be killed via parry and riposte. the one closest to the church drops the "aged one's exultation" a talisman (madness in the vicinity increases attack power). and they don't respawn. the rest just drop grapes

The enemy who drops the flame spear ash of war, also drops a helmet that has a small bonus to "fire knight skills" my testing says 10% damage but I could be wrong. It 100% works on flame spear and flame skewer- not sure about redmane etc etc. I think we'll see a lot of it in pvp when people find out.

There's actually a lot of helmets that give lesser talismmen like buffs in the dlc, most of which hinder your flasks or lower your status resistances ^ this one does not. Just a flat bonus to your ash.

As one of the comments said ↓ the regular fire enemies in the shadow keep have a chance at dropping their helmet too. Although it looks goofy, it gives a minor FAP ring boost, it gave me around 11 health and stamina, and 6.7 equip load. (60 vigour, 35 endurance).

(I think this design changed is interesting, you can tell more about a player's build off of their armour and weapons just at a glance, more than you could do in previous titles anyway. Wonder if people will adopt the stat boosting armours or ignore it entirely)

I'll update this if I find any more relevant stat-armours in the dlc
