Morning Minute: Prohibiting Performance and Funding for Abortions

"We are seeking to terminate the appalling arrangement between Planned Parenthood and the University of Wisconsin, under which UW has provided faculty members to serve as abortionists at Planned Parenthood's abortion-only facility in Madison." Representative Andre Jacque (R-De Pere) told committee members at the Capitol when testifying in favor of Senate Bill 154.

Dr. Robert Golden, Dean of UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, testified against the legislation. "Simply put, the legislation before you is a serious threat to the future of our OGBYN residency training program. If the bill is passed, the program will be forced to become non-compliant with the national accreditation requirements."
