I just finished watching Tyler Black's Rise from the Fall dvd and it was amazing! This was an awesome final match.

the crowd reaction to Tyler pissed me off, he gave them a 60 minute match, possibly his best work, and they boo him. They act like they know wrestling but in the end they're nothing more than louder, more opinionated marks.

@Xtremebyrd2k6 Well then, by extension you could add in Beth Phoenix, Melina, & many others. What I'm talking about is guys that get recognition in the indies. Punk, yes. Foley, not really. He really got it after going to WCW, at least in my eyes since his ECW tenure was fairly short lived. A lot of feds try to make indy talents "theirs", but that's been around since the beginning. I'm talking about when they scoop up talent just to keep the competition down. Not using or giving them a chance.

@RealHipHopTunes You'd be surprised how many people are in certain professions mainly for the money and women. Sure, you have to really like it to get into it, but eventually it gets to becoming a job like anything else. And financially, it's really tough to be an Indie wrestler because just wrestling a couple of times a month on ROH isn't enough to supplement you. You'd need to find side jobs with other promotions, and with WWE, at least you'd know you have consistent bookings.

@CaylaBorden Well, that would depend on what you define a "wrestling company" as, wouldn't it? Would it be a company that only does wrestling, because then no major fed could make that claim. Feds like WWE, TNA, even down to ROH or Chikara, they focus more on making stories to build around matches. On being entertainment opposed to just wrestling. The problem is though that a lot of these so called "writers" suck at doing it.

We all know what WWE is doing. It's the same shit they did to ECW 10 years ago. They're taking all of Ring of Honor's top guys, paying them a lot more & just keep them around. Realize this, ROH is this generation's ECW. TNA is this generation's WCW. WWE... well, they're pretty much back where they were in the mid 90's.

@DaysOfWild1982 Styles & Sabin joined both ROH & TNA at about the same time, so I wouldn't really count them. As for the others, yeah, points. TNA uses them though, plus that's without mentioning Nigel McGuinness or "Desmond Wolfe". Who with a major indy following has WWE done a damn thing with? Danielson, & he's been thrown in the mid-card. He might be the only one to get a real push, but I hope I'm wrong about that. I'm not saying it's wrong. It's a business. It was 10 yrs ago. It is now.
