If a medical professional has ruled out any physical causes for the symptoms you’re experiencing, you’re probably struggling with anxiety.

Nausea, fast heartbeat, tension, sweating… All of these anxiety symptoms usually come with unsettling, intrusive thoughts about the future. And after a while, you’re like: “How do I MAKE IT STOP?!”

Maybe you’ve tried it all… Supplements, breathing exercises, yoga, changing your diet, you name it… But nothing seems to work.

I know how tough it can be to face these challenges when you feel there’s no solution on the horizon.

So, in this episode, I’m going to share five steps to truly overcome anxiety symptoms.

I’m not going to talk about short-term fixes like supplements and breathing techniques – they're meant to help us cope in the moment. But they’re NOT a permanent solution.

Instead, I’ll show you how to approach these symptoms differently. When you start using these five steps intentionally, not as desperate fixes but as part of a balanced approach to handling your anxiety, you'll see a real difference.

Ready to overcome your anxiety symptoms once and for all?

After a whole night of waking up to panic and trembling, i got so tired of anxiety i said screw this, and got up and did whatever i wanted to and ignored anxiety that morning. As soon as i stopped focusing on it, it immediately left, and i was myself again. This proved there is nothing wrong. Now we have to do this each time we feel panic, until it stops coming.

Guys. Don’t give up. I got out of anxiety. I was able to get my anxiety under control. It took a while but it is doable. I had it since I was 13.

As someone who suffers with extreme severe anxiety I can totally relate to her. I would stop eating for days at a time as a punishment. I worry a lot about my life, everyone around me and pleasing everyone. It's absolutely crippling, so glad she got the help she needed, lovely young lady it's so sad that society has 1 in 3 people suffering mental health issues. I hope everyone seeks help

I had a panic attack and woke up. I went to the emergency room because I had a tight chest and hard to breath. Doctors did every test and come back very healthy and no issues. Since that time I currently am living in fear. This video has helped so much. I'm currently drinking sleep aid teas to relax my mind. I feel like I'm living in a panic everyday.

Dont give up. Keep moving forward. If you get out of bed in the morning then you're already winning. Ive been dealing with a lot of symptoms for a year and a half now. My main ones are dizziness off balance and bad eye problems. Ive bad bouts of anxiety and panic attacks which have led to health anxiety and agoraphobia. I think we can all agree it sucks and we wish it would all just go away. It can really bring a person down day after day. Like i said dont give up. After everything ive been through i had my first bout of derealization today. Scared the hell out of me. Just gonna try to throw it under the umbrella the best i can. Its hard. Its all hard. But please try to remember thay suffering is a choice.

Oh yeah about the setbacks.. I once cried cause I felt great for two days and then the next day I experienced symtoms of anxiety. So I cried when I came back home. Cried so hard cause I taught I'm finally ok. Know I know what I did was wrong. Now I can finally laugh. Not fully healed but I'm getting close. For you who are reading this, I love you. I really do. I'm crying rn while I'm typing this cause of love. So whatever you are dealing rn, I'm very sure u can overcome it. Man I wish I can give you a hug rn.

weak left arms, muscle twitching, heart palpitations sometimes, chest pains sometimes makes me thinking i might get a ❤ attack! when i knowww deep inside me that this is just anxiety, when i'm stresssed for a long period of time, or when i'm so worked up.

As a therapist myself, and I love the beach, I call it riding the wave. You can't fight rhe wave so just enjoy the ride knowing that the ride will be over and you'll be on land again.

I always acknowledge my anxiety and I always push through it because I have no choice. But I’m miserable. I’m exhausted all the time because I’m always pushing through anxiety and I never am just calm and chill and cool.. ever.

I had an absolutely terrible crash 4 years ago, recovered and then had a "replay" a year back. Same symptoms but way worse . I have listened to a huge range of therapists, life motivation speakers, trying to find a way to heal but have just felt increasingly overwhelmed by the content.
I stumbled quite by accident upon this video and thought ....what the heck, let's take a listen my goodness, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH, I have to date not heard it explained so simply but concisely, with totally attainable "handles" to real recovery. It was like a HUGE weight was lifted as I heard you telling me I don't have to fight it, fix it, fear it but recognise all the overwhelming emotion to be simply symptoms.of ONE, singular issue ....anxiety....and practice ALARM and the five F's again and again. I cannot tell you what this video has meant to me and I am so very very grateful for your making this intelligence available to the public. Bless you hugely.

I write this advice after watching all of Shaans videos and reading Dr. Claire Weeks' book because it helped me recover. You can overcome this. The main thing is if you made it past 1 month with anxiety, then you already know nothing is going to happen to you. You'll be fine so try not to avoid work, outings, traveling, etc. Keep on living. Don't fight the symptoms. Don't use teas, herbs, weighted blankets, meditation, don't let your body know you're fighting. Think of a time when you were most relaxed. For example, you were watching a movie, sports, just sitting down on the couch, looking at the sky. Think hard on how you were breathing when you were super calm. For me it was soft breathing. No deep breaths, no long exhales. Now, from now on to when you're going through anxiety symptoms and difficult moments, where your adrenaline and cortisol are high, and your symptoms are out of control, BREATH how you would when you were in that calm state. No deep breaths, just calm breaths. All the time. At all moments. Eventually your nervous system will pick up on it, that you're safe and there's no threat and you'll get better. It's easier said than done but it took me a few months to drastically reduce my symptoms. Now they're non-existent. Slowly you'll start to build confidence and reduce fear to when eventually you recover.
