Among Us is Getting a TV Series

Among Us is becoming a cartoon. While the game's popularity spiked a few years ago, Among Us still thrives online as one of the most iconic social deduction experiences. Coming from Infinity Train creator Owen Dennis, this new Among Us cartoon will respect the source material of the game. Will the franchise be able to succeed as an animated series?

Just because our famous YouTubers weren’t playing it anymore didn’t mean it was dead, I played and still play among us almost daily with a variety of different people and make new friends and experiences every day! You won’t believe how excited I got when I heard there’s gonna be a show, this better be legit! Innersloth deserves a little comeback to popularity! Owen Dennis sent an email discussing about his 2-year deal with CBS after Infinity Train back in December. Learning that two of the shows were adaptations of existing games, I'm excited that one of those games is revealed to be Among Us!!!

If done as a episodic series and done right, this could be ridiculously good. If they keep the imposters' identities secret throughout most of the series, it could have viewers guessing who is the imposter, driving them to keep watching to see if they are right.

PuffballsUnited has always been a king of animation, with both Henry Stickman and Among Us being gorgeous. Getting his work turned into a full fledged show is pretty awesome!

I wasn’t expecting seeing the creator of infinity train making a series about Among Us but here we are now! Honestly, I wanna see how will this works and hopefully it becomes successful!

"Two game adaptions, both wildly different in tone from one another, but both are adult comedies. One has themes about trust and othering, while the other has themes about actualization, abandonment, and how modern capitalism interacts with our sense of self. You know, comedy!"

Never actually played the game myself, due to lack of friends to play with, but from what I've seen of others playing it (and of course ... da memes) Among Us is actually a perfect premise for a "whodunit" type of narrative show with just a hint of "body horror" and "suspense" for flavor.
