For comparison, working 40 hour a week, with no vacation or holidays, is 2080 hours a year.

I lived in Greece for two years when it all started and saw families loosing their homes and more but through all of that they were the kindest and most positive people I've ever met... it's been about 12 year's ago i wonder if they could preserve their good spirit 😢

Indian Corporate sector runs on unpaid overtime. Because there's no concept of "overtime". You just work till "EOD" to complete the "urgent deliverables". And, you don’t get paid for working overtime.

The least worst is not the best outcome. Just because someone else has it worse does not mean you don't have room for improvement. This is not the pain olympics. It is a mark of shame to each of these countries that they think so little of their people. If any of them had shame.

Meanwhile Indians working even on sundays 🗿

(Edit_1)For those who don't know the reality and fighting in the comment section: Majority of the tech Giants take advantage of the cheap labour, they have to work extended hours without any established regulations governing the maximum hours of work, unlike many other nations. At times, these employees have to stay up all night and work even on holidays and occasionally on Sundays to accommodate clients residing in locations with a 12-hour time difference. In contrast, individuals in equivalent positions outside India earn approximately two to three times more than their Indian counterparts.

I’m from south korea and we work A LOT. Ever since i got into 7th grade i had to study 80 hours a week. Some kids sleep 3 hours a day. I know a girl who didn’t eat or drink or shower for 2 days.

Crazy thing is that as you get older it doesn’t get any better if not worse. And not many people work 40 hours a week. Maybe just government officials

If you subtract weekends, that means the average Mexican works over 8 hours a day 😥
Edit: Alright, nobody seems to understand: 8 hours is a normal day, but it being average implies a lot of people work *more*
