This video shows how I built this simple DIY Modern Console Cabinet! You can find the free plans and step by step tutorial in this blog post:

This console cabinet is built with 3/4" oak plywood with some standard construction lumber for the base. It's easy to assemble with pocket hole joinery. I'm sharing all the details in the video.

If you're interested in any of the tools or materials used in the video, be sure to check out the tools and materials list with links to everything in the post here:

I've had a lot of questions about the saw guide I use to rip down my plywood sheets. Here's an affiliate link to it:

Excellent job young lady! You build better than most of the carpenters I've worked with over a 20 year span.

I tend to not like the grain pattern on big box store sheets of oak plywood - it seems like a lot of times the cathedrals are way too big. But your sheet and therefore project turned out looking pretty good. And you're right the floating top makes it.

This was so useful. Thanks soooo much. I have saved your links.

I would like mine with 2 bodies. I mean 2 of what you have made and sit on top. Bottom for storing books and top body for plates etc. But want it to be 160cm long. Will give this a go.

You put in the back boards like me when i now started lol, it's cool but it would be much neater if you made rabbits and then seat it in otherwise i actually still love this though it has such a wonderful contrast i hardly believe that was plywood used until i saw the entire video.

YouTube is helping out my Woodshop Diaries withdrawal by serving up some older videos from (I guess) before I started following you. (Should I be creeped out by that?🫤). It's fun to see some of your older stuff - but boy it's still a beautiful piece! I see your love of black paint for disappearing features goes back a long way! (Also waiting to drill shelf pins till you have to crawl inside 😊). Well done.

Didn’t you use half overlay hinges for inside doors (door 2 and 3) because both doors 2 and 3 are sharing one middle partition?

Hello, my English is very bad, so I used the translator, I love how it looked.
Would you help me? I would like to know what paintings you have used and the name of the tool you use to screw.
I am from Mexico and here the carpentry is different, since the painting process is very complicated many diluent sealers are used etc. You would help me a lot if you can pass me the link of the paint you use and the tool, I think maybe I could find it in Amazon, but I don't know how to filter the search. Thanks greetings from Mexico!

i watch this channel because the designs look great, explained well and just as important, because you are a skinny woman and therefor i shouldn't need strength to build/put these starting to doubt the strength part, you lift heavy things😫
