Ben Platt performs 'Nights on Broadway' for Barry Gibb | 2023 Kennedy Center Honors

Musical theater star Ben Platt performs "Nights on Broadway" in tribute to 2023 Honoree Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees.

The Kennedy Center Honors is an annual honor given to those in the performing arts for their lifetime of contributions to American culture.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is proud to celebrate the 46th Honorees for lifetime artistic achievements: actor and comedian Billy Crystal; acclaimed soprano Renée Fleming; British singer-songwriter producer, and member of the Bee Gees, Barry Gibb; rapper, singer, and actress Queen Latifah; and singer Dionne Warwick.

The event took place Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, in the Kennedy Center Opera House; premiered Wednesday, December 27 at 8pm ET on CBS; and will be available for viewing for a limited time on Paramount+.

I have not stoped playing this video ever since last night. I loved Ben Platt performance of one of mine favorite Beegee Songs. 1975 I was 11 and MainCourse was my favorite album with Nights on Broadway, Jive Talking and Fanny. I purchased it in 1976 and still have it. Great job.

I love that so many people were groovin' and dancing in their seats 48 years after the song's release, as if it was new. The Bee Gees should not have lost their audience by the end of disco. They were so much more than disco.
