Love when we first saw the crowd dancing at this and going down, then Begbie confused face as he realizes how much going clubbing as changed in 20 years. And then, as the crowd rise up, Begbie is smiley and dancing.

Best scene in the movie is when all the club-goers are dancing to this song. One of those numbers where everybody on the dance floor does the same moves...looks real cool. Weak, weak sequel (the book was a million times better), but the scene in the club when this song plays -- though it only lasts about eight seconds -- is pure magic. Too bad the rest of the film couldn't capture that scene's magic and excitement.

the best performance in the movie is Begbie's. they're all amazing, but Rob Carlyle does something really amazing in these movies –– he really does convince me he's a terrible person. an awful, terrible, horrifying person.

one of the few characters in movies to actually frighten me is Begbie, and it's the rage in those eyes (I actually do think Carlyle's truly had his share of ... interesting experiences to get a look like that, as good of an actor as he is). true. but to make it FULLY frightening it's the humanity he brings to it.

the hurt pride, the wounded ego, the things that fully drive a man to intelligently violent madness.

an rabid dog is something you can put down, but a MAD dog is scarier. the happy enough pooch that suddenly finds its innate killer instincts exposed and can't hold anything back.

Robert Carlyle. Franco Begbie. what a role.
