I would have said Revelation 3:15 is missed quoted. Jesus Christ always wants you on his side. Hot/Cold does not mean "Go against him"

This interpretation aligns with the idea that God desires us to be spiritually alive and effective, whether through the refreshing aspects of our faith that invigorate and inspire, or the healing aspects that restore and comfort. Being ‘lukewarm’ might then mean lacking in those qualities that make one’s faith impactful and transformative.
