Honestly, use good footwear, stay on the path and don't understimate the terrain.

Great shots of one of what has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.
I made some hikes there starting om the same route but went from Schäfler to Säntis, Liesengrat, Meglisalp, Seealpsee and back to Wasserauen.
From Ebenalp up to Schäfler is a relatively safe hike but going further from there I strongly advice good hiking gear and experience.

Nice views, but do not wear sneakers in the mountains. You can easily twist your ankle when walking over rocks.
