Great list! Thank you so much for sharing. We’ll be doing the middle ages for our 2020 school year so I’m definitely going to add some of these to that list.

My boys (5 and 6) have loved Bruce Coville's picture book adaptations for Shakespeare. They are beautifully illustrated and do a good job of introducing them to the stories. Actually I wish there were more of them!

The Great and Terrible Quest is an amazing book for Middle Ages by Margaret Lovett.

We started Shakespeare with Usborne's illustrated collection. It was a great gentle introduction that we started when my daughter was 6 and she loved. Then we moved on to Charles and Mary Lamb's versions (which you can get on Audible). Next we are going to do the same process for Charles Dickens and Jane Austen. By then she will be old enough to do a more indepth study of Shakespeare (or Dickens or Austen).

Yay! I'm sitting here having my morning coffee while I watch. :-) I love that you did this in categories. We definitely need to make time for Robin Hood. Kate Dicamillo is great. We loved Because of Winn-Dixie.We've only barely gotten into Shakespeare, but are loving it and now we're hooked.

You reminded me to add North or Be Eaten onto my holds list at the library. 🙂. Also, my kids didn’t enjoy Prince Caspian, but my friends’ kids loved it. ? So your kids might like it? The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was our favorite- and we just finished The Silver Chair and we all loved it too. The audio version makes Aslan sound like a gomer, but it was a good story!

We loved Owls in the Family! That was great. I've heard good things about the wingfeather saga but I am waiting for mine to finish up some other series before I get it (like Ranger's Apprentice and others)
