Fun trivia about changing the size of the moon in the classic trilogy: Apparently, it was an intended hidden feature by the lead game programmer when he saw the artists arguing and not being able to decide what size moon to put in the game, so he added a feature where you could change the size of the moon to make everyone happy. Then he forgot to take it out of the final game, and the rest is history 😂

On the PS2 version of San Andreas the moon actually goes through different phases. I have no idea why they didn’t add this feature in other versions as well.

I think the moon does have different phases in GTA:SA, because I could have sworn I saw a full moon in SA on several occasions (I even shot it as well). I think it might depend on your main story progress, rather than individual in-game days.
