The gaming industry has been declining in content, originality and user satisfaction. Anthem seems like another generic futurist shooter

3 strong holds that just inflate the enemy health and damage? I'll pass

EA's investors want this out before the end of this fiscal quarter. Anthem should be pushed back another year, but it is obviously in a playable format, so that's enough for EA to shove it out the door. This is a game that will probably be awesome over time, but that launch is going to be rough.

After playing the open demo this weekend, its obvious to me that the game has potential, but it has so much going against it that it may die off before it has a chance to blossom and take Bioware with it.

Criticism is important. One of my favourite quotes is: "The cruelest thing you can do to an artist is tell them their work is perfect when it isn't".

Games used to be released with full content, then a year or so later get a paid new content update.
Then they started to be released with half the content with the other half in DLC.
Then they started to be released unfinished with half the content and the rest done later and put into a season pass.
Now they are released even earlier with half the content and the other half provided as 'FREE' updates paid for with microtransactions. (Content you're promised before your purchase is not a free update it's what you paid for)

Very few of these type of games are worth buying at launch. The playerbase will drop then they'll sell the game with all the content for half the price.

I won't be looking at buying Anthem for at least at least a few months, once it has the content that was promised and we can see what the microtransactions are like... Basically I wont think about buying it until it's finished.

But even then I doubt I'll be playing it, I just can't see the microtransactions not ruining it. After seeing what EA and Bioware did to SWTOR (subscription, microtransactions and lootboxes) I have no faith in them not wrecking Anthem.

Downward thrust for the love of God please do not buy this game. You've been complaining about it since they first showed the trailer at e3

*This feels like it’s gonna be a repeat of Destiny*

The free demo this weekend feels better than the private one last weekend by a lot. Here's to hoping they'll make further improvements.

The best way to describe the game is (a beautiful looking box with absolutely nothing inside)

"Played for 30 hours" of a demo. A demo.. Which has 3 hours of content, Like 3 missions and 1 stronghold. Nothing of the Endgame has been revealed or showed. This is just clickbait.

Here’s a summary: endless gridding, generic shooting, DLC/micro-transactions, loot, repetitive, repetitive grind, buying weapon that would otherwise take literal days to craft.
*Standard AAA gaming experience*

- Is going to have a bad start, because of content (not enough) and full of bugs.
- Half the players is going to leave before the first month.
- The game is going to get the first major content 6 months later (if EA don't kill it first).
- Everyone is going to complain about MACROtransactions (even we already know that there is going to be in.
- There is going to be pay DLC. Even they say NO in the past.
- The game is going to be like it should have been from day one in 1.6 years later.

I would love to see anthem done it, but is EA the one behind it, and they don't have the patience for quality and they don't care if the content is chopped, they are greedy and they want to milk it as fast as possible and get out. I hate to see great ideas like this game, just half way.

I knew it would heavily miss out on available content. People bash Destiny but it had 4 locations, small spaces in between and each location had a strike plus Venus had two strikes (5 total). The loot finding wasn't too high. You could find stuff fast enough and it had a Raid.
