Best of both worlds? Tubes and Solidstate combo.
Billie Integrated Amp from Heaven 11 review Part 1

I have decided to split the review of the Billie Integrated tube / solidstate amp into 2 videos. In this first video, I interviewed Itai, the CEO of the company.

We discussed about Tubes and how it matches with class D amplification. We also talked about his vision when designing the Billie amp and what makes it so special.

Excellent Thomas, I would have been one of the ones that listened to the full interview :)
Thanks for this

When the subject matter and the discussion is so interesting, 15 minutes is too short. I enjoyed every minute. Thank you for sharing!

Best explanation ever on the differences between the various amp classes! Comes in handy as I study a couple of different approaches some people are taking to marry Class D with tubes (including the Nutube triode). Thanks again.

Excellent video, honestly I wouldn’t have been mad if you uploaded the 40min video . There are some things one can listen to for a long time especially if they’re into it and this is definitely one of them . Thank you

Great interview Thomas! Love the discussion about harmonics, as a guitar player my ear is super sensitive to harmonics and it's nice to hear from a designer who is attuned to this!!

Great interview and I wouldn't mind the 40min version.

Thanks Itai and Thomas for the excellent interview. Thomas you should definitely release the entire 40 minutes as well, if possible. Itai is a very interesting guy, I loved his straight forward opinions and the seemingly honest approach he took to the interview. Looking forward to the review next week.

Like the others posting I found the interview very interesting and I would have listened to the whole 40 minutes. Fascinating to have the engineer's perspective on design, purpose and overall philosophy. Thanks for arranging this.

PS. Do you know at all if they plan to show this amp at the Montreal Audio Fest?

Thank you Thomas for the interview. I remember Jacques Wu @ Audioville once told me that "there's a lot of audio in Montreal" - indeed.

Good interview thomas. Could you put the uncut version as well (as an option to choose).

I prefer 70's designs. Give me 30 button dials and switches with dancing vu meters on a silver faced brick where the volume knob has an indicator that goes to 11!!!!

Thomas, I very much enjoyed the interview and was sorry to see it come to an end. Why not make the entire interview available so that those of us that wish to view it can? Just make an introduction statement about it at the beginning? Thanks and very nice job.

I like the new direction your taking with you channel, but also dont stop reviewing or giving your thoughts on gear that you like.
