Indian Military Modernization

India is planning to spend more than $ 100 billion on Indigenization via the local defence sector in the next 5 to 10 years.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made this announcement recently on March 6 th 2023 during the Naval Commanders' conference held on India's first aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.

To boost up Make in India, the Central Government has recently banned the import of several parts and systems for the defence sector.
