You can try to do it but it does not stay on straight or curly hair sometimes it works on wavy but it mostly works on like Afro and curly afro

Manuel, if you want more volume don’t brush your hair down, brush it in all directions, then your curls will be more separated, for a cleaner and defined look. I’m a hairdresser btw. Love the vids!
