I live in South Texas with no previous history of traveling to affected areas. I tested positive for the Zika Virus. I did not show any symptoms what so ever. 💔 We decided to terminate our pregnancy because of the risks of our baby being affected and I did not want to put my baby through a life of pain after delivery. It is such a hard time for us and I just want woman to know. Please use repellent when you go outside and cover yourself as well as possible.

Why bother monitoring the baby with constant sonograms?? Even if the baby has microcephaly you can't do anything about it until it's born.

And again the WOMEN are the ones caring for the babies! The fathers leave! If you have to care for a sick child (all of the child’s life..), how are women supposed to have jobs, careers or study in university???!!? Zika will make WOMEN behind (poorer, less educated, maybe even homeless). Come on MEN(!) I challenge you to take at least half of the burden for every child you bring in to this world 🌎
