Joe Biden has dropped out of the US presidential race, after weeks of mounting pressure for him to step aside.
That leaves the Democratic party with just a few months, to re-organize its strategy and re-energize its base.
For some, Vice President Kamala Harris is the obvious choice.
But, some Democrats are questioning if she can beat Donald Trump.
So, where does this leave the Democratic party?
And will the shake-up, sway any independent voters?

I’m no supporter of Biden but this was a pretty smooth move by the democrat team. Harris is younger than Trump, making HIM now the “old man”, so that bludgeon can no longer be used. The biggest problem with Harris is that she was never a popular figure. She only made 2% during the primaries in 2020 and her approval rating as VP has been really low. I personally don’t believe she is a competent politician and won’t be voting for her, but she is the best shot the dems have at the moment.
