6th Grade Curriculum Picks || Homeschool 2022-2023

Here is our curriculum reveal for the 2022-2023 school year. I'm looking forward to another year of growth and learning for my oldest guy! We're changing up just a couple of things but keeping a lot of the things that have already been working.

I love how you meet your child where he is and that is really encouraging to me. The temptation to push my son to meet the “standard” is there for me at times and when I give in to that temptation it’s always a disaster and I’m reminded of why I need to just teach my son and move at his pace.

6th grade was Hypercolor tshirts and Caverichi pants and shorts! Hahahahah

We just started EIW this year and it has been wonderful! My son, especially, has grown in his writing.

I don’t feel old enough for my oldest to start Highschool!!! We are yet use a writing curriculum but we do a lot of writing assignments for other subjects!!! We do the CC memory work using the app!!! We’ve just done earth science!!!

My 6th grader will be using Saxon 7/6 and EIW 6. We are big Saxon fans! We use Bookshark for Reading with History (Sonlight’s sister company). My 8th and 6th graders will be combined into level H.

Oh man…6th grade…terrible hair, beginning of acne, and bottom of the middle school food chain. It was a wonderful time! NOT! 😂😂

Can’t wait to hear all about Sonlight D this next year. We’re a year behind you. We just got all of our HBL C materials. 🥳 Question though…do you have any videos about how you organize your kids school work? Like binders or folders? Do you have them use a checklist? That kind of thing.
