Infamous (PS3)

Infamous is a video game for the Sony PlayStation 3 video game console developed by Sucker Punch Productions, creators of Rocket: Robot on Wheels, and the Sly Cooper video game franchise. The game was announced at Sony's E3 2007 Press Conference on July 11, 2007. An exact release date for the game has not yet been announced, although the debut trailer indicated that the game will be released sometime in 2008. It will be the company's first original IP since Sly Cooper.

The game is a third-person sandbox world that combines elements of the superhero MMO City of Heroes with a roaming open-world, allowing the player to make choices between being a hero or an anti-hero that will affect the game. The player will also have access to various super powers as seen in the trailer, such as psychokinesis, flight, super jump and electrical conduction. However, the way in which these powers are/will be obtained are currently unknown.

Oh this will rock the PS3...like Heros, force unleashed, with GTA style etc. Oh i can't wait for this and FFXIII/Versus and Eteranl Sonata etc.

How is it? You get a 'base' console, if you want to do anything other than just play the game on single player with the worst graphics, then, yeah. But if you want online theres adapters to buy, the auctual online, if you want a HDDVD drive you have to buy that and use that to take up one of your USB slots. And im fed up of people saying XBOX has got blu-ray, its not, people are confusing blu-ray with HDDVD.

So the fact the game uses SIX AXIS and needs the psyhics engine to run? Its not the fact 'its not coming to xbox' its the fact it cant. A game like GOW or HALO could easily be converted for PS3, when a PS3 game is exclusive theres a reason.

Finely, someone I agree wuth. Do I think PS3 is better- yes, it's blue features and games are more my style. Do I think its the best console ever? No, I like a lot of games on 360, and can openly admit it has much better online play. People have to start realizing all of the consoles have upsides, and all of them have down sides. I think people arguing about the consoles just gives them justification from the things they bought.

Honestly ive played halo and gears round my friends, there 'ok' games, but it stops at that, nothing, exceptional about them.

I have both 360 and ps3 and i would buy this for 360 if it was a 360 game :), but not for ps3. One reason enless its in 1080P witch like 70% of the ps3 games arnt then its just bull crap on my monitor :P

gears of war is borderline shit. lets be honest, no.2 is exactly the same as number 1 with 1 or 2 extra modes.

infamous looks really innovative and interesting. plus there are loads of exclusive games coming to ps3 - tekken 6, god of war, killzone etc etc. what have you got to look forward to? gears of war 3? halo 4? noone cares anymore.
